In today’s post, I’ll show you this holiday stamping nail art.I ordered the Moyra “Winter is coming” stamping plate in September. I’ve already created a snowflake mani with it and I uploaded the photo to Instagram.
This is the nail art I was talking about:
For this mani, I used a white and silver colour combo. About the Catrice ICONails 23 Nice Cream nail polish, I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, what I love about it is that it’s not plain white but there’s a subtle pink hue in it. I think it makes this polish really special and feminine. On the other hand – and I have this problem with every white polish – even the second coat is streaky and patchy. If I apply a third layer, it takes forever to dry, but under the silver stamping polish, it’s perfect as the pattern will cover up the streakiness of the white polish and they complement each other beautifully.
What I used:
- Catrice ICONails 23 Nice Cream nail polish
- Moyra Chrome SP25 (silver) stamping polish
- Moyra topcoat for stamping
- Moyra Winter is coming stamping
- clear stamper
- old loyalty card
I applied silver stamping polish onto a gift box pattern of the stamping plate, scraped it off with the card (holding the card at a 45-degree angle). It gently pressed the stamper head on the plate and picked up the image with a rolling motion. You have to work quickly, otherwise, you won’t be able to pick up the entire image, so make sure you have everything at hand.
I stamped the image onto my ring fingers and middle fingers with a rolling motion. After every stamping, I cleaned the plate with a cotton pad and nail polish remover. It’s important to have a completely clean plate without any leftover nail polish from the previous round.
I finished the mani with the Moyra top coat for stamping. I removed the nail polish from the skin with a brush dipped in nail polish remover.
